About Leslie

Although I have spent most of my career in architecture, engineering and law, I have years of experience in caregiving. From 2000-06, I left San Francisco to take care of my parents. I was a nurses' aide in several nursing homes while attending KU. In 2009, I was a licensed CNA/HHA in Marin and Sonoma Counties, CA, for 2 years and had several live-in clients. In 2016 in Lawrence, KS, as evening activities assistant at Neuvant House, I developed close friendships with the dozen residents. I worked from 2017-20 for Trinity In-home Care, including taking care of an elderly couple for 3 months, a 90-year-old woman for the past year, a 93-year-old woman who recently passed away, and a 99-year-old woman. I had as many as six different clients varying in age at a time. Although I am no longer a CNA/HHA, my 10+ years of experience as a caregiver to the elderly and handicapped have given my life a true purpose. I have worked for two families thru care. com.
