I also encourage them to exercise by playing outdoors and we engage in creative activities when playing with their toys. Lemlem was a nanny for our then 1-2 year old and our then 3-4 year old (two kids). She was great! She is very loving, caring, and patient, and is very smart and has good emotional EQ. I have had 2 or 3 moms approach me at my son’s preschool who recognize my son from the park and, when they realize I’m the mom, gush about how great Lemlem was and her level of focus and dedication to my little guy! It feels so good knowing he was in such good hands and I feel like that’s the ultimate testament to a great nanny— totally unsolicited praise of her work from strangers, during a time when she didn’t know she needed to be “on.” Lemlem also got along with my mom well when my mom would come to stay. In addition to typical nanny responsibilities, Lemlem’s responsibilities included dropping off and picking up my daughter from preschool in our car through DC traffic, which she did without incident.
