I'm a certified exceptional education teacher with 20 years experience. My bachelor degree is in elementary education and was earned at the University of Central Florida (1988). I received my Master's of education from Columbus State University in 1996 (CSU), majoring in mental retardation. I received my specialist in education from CSU in 2011, majoring in elementary curriculum. I simultaneously attended Georgia State University where I earned endorsements for Physical and Health Disabilities and teaching reading K-12 in 2012. I've worked with school-aged children from elementary through high school, with varying levels/types of disabilities (such as Autism, Down's Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy. I'm a firm believer that all children can learn and progress to their full potential, given needed support and encouragement.

Lazette was my son's teacher in junior and high school a few years ago. He has cerebral palsy and I do not trust just anyone in his care. He graduated in 2006. She has also babysat for me on many occasions. I trust her completely with the safety and care of my son. She has been a great friend to me. She is one of the most caring, patient, selfless, smartest individuals I've had the pleasure of knowing. I am happy to offer this recommendation of this special lady that I might have never known had it not been for my son. I will continue to ask for her help, above all others, simply because I can leave him in her care with a great peace of mind. Thank you.
