About Laurie

I've been a nanny since 1996. I cared for a newborn baby girl for 2 1/2 years. I was with my next family for 12+ years. The girl was 3 and her brother was almost 10 when I started. My next family has 2 boys; they were 8 & 10 when I started. I was with them for 8+ years. My current family has 2 boys, age 6 1/2 & 3 1/2. I'm smart, funny, compassionate, caring, and able to handle different situations that arise, as they always do when you're dealing with children. The young man I cared for with my 2nd family has Autism. He's high functioning so he went to regular schools and was in the "special" classes. He's musically talented. Through him, I learned more about patience, understanding, and staying calm when all is falling apart around you.
