Since high school I have spent my summers and weekends being a nanny and caring for children. This is what inspired me into the field of education. I have been in education for 8 years now. I spent the summer after college teaching and working with teenagers in under privileged schools in New York, where I then went on to teach English in Nicaragua. I then spent a year working as a one on one teacher's aid in special education working with children at elementary age with high functioning autism. I have spent the next four years being a high school teacher in Denver and now have recently moved to Lakewood Ohio where I am working at a school in Rocky River! I have also spent time being a swim instructor which means I am CPR/ AED and first aid certified. Please feel free to reach out at anytime for weeknight/ weekend babysitting!

My daughter V loves Ms. Lauretta! She always looks forward to the nights when she will be babysitting. Lauretta (or 'Retta' as my daughter calls her) is super patient and has no problem keeping up with my active 7 yr old. Luckily, she is a teacher by profession, so she knows the ropes!! Lol. Some of V's favorite things to do with Ms. Lauretta are putting on plays/shows, having dance parties, doing different sorts of arts & crafts projects, and practicing reading/writing in different creating learning style ways. Lauretta is our #1 go to. She is dependable and caring and when V is in her care, I do not have a worry in the world.
