I have a huge passion for working and advocating for people with disabilities, it has been a passion of mine since I was in the fifth grade when I had a friend with a Traumatic Brain Injury due to a baseball accident. I am currently pursuing my Ph. D. in Special Education at Texas Tech University and working full-time as a Special Education classroom teacher. For the past 5 years, I have primarily worked with students who have multiple disabilities (with a focus on those who are blind). During that time, I've worked with students who are DeafBlind, blind, who are non-verbal, have cognitive impairments, etc. I believe strongly in a patient, calm, and positive approach to learning and behavior. I am always willing and eager to learn more! Last but not least, I always LOVE to have fun with the students/people I work with :)!
