My name is Laura. I have been working with children with special needs for the past 7 years in different capacities. 8 months ago I started working as an ABA Behavior Specialist and fell in love with it! I really enjoy seeing the growth and change my clients experience when working with the program. I was also nannying in the mornings, however my sweet nanny child is starting daycare next week and I am now looking for a new morning client to fill my days. To tell you a little bit more about my experience: I have a masters degree in Art Therapy, while studying I nannied and interned at an elementary school as well as with child refugees. Once I graduated I worked as a Staff Therapist and then In Home Therapist helping children and families with special needs in Rhode Island. After 3 years my husband and I moved to San Francisco where I nannied for two children on the Autism Spectrum for 2 years. I am now a BCAT Certified Autism Technician.

I met Laura three years ago when she was a new employee at South Bay. From the start you could see Laura's passion for the field. Overtime, Laura began to specialize working with children and families. Laura is an incredibility creative and talented artist. This unique gift allows her to connect with people in other ways then "just talking." Laura takes serious consideration when working with a family to assess their needs and what interventions would be most helpful for both the children and family as a whole. Laura is a dependable employee and anyone would be lucky to work with her.
