There is a saying that everyone has a knack for something; be it singing, painting, cooking, for some even the gift of gab. But, usually whatever this knack is you can see it shines through the person. So, for me I would say this would be working with children; as this has been a passion of mine. My name is Latasha M., I am 32 years old, and I have had experienced working with taking care of the neighbor's children down to, working in a daycare. I was a nanny, for a family where I worked overnights (1 & 5 year old), two daughters I had to pickup and drop off the older sister. And, I would help her with her homework, for the younger sister, I made any outing we went on a learning experience. As, I think this can be done with any children asking them for ex." what sound does the train make, or the red light means what etc."? Things like this are good learning tools to help teach the child to learn and become; familiar with their environment. I was in a 4H Summer school program where I helped be an aide, to grades 3rd grade. Here, I helped with answering questions about their class work, helping with their Science fair projects, even going on class trips with them. Also, I was in a daycare as the ages was newborn to school age, here I helped to implement the activities such as story time. music, painting, walks to the park, helping with the motor skills of the infants. Helping in the lunch and snack time feeding, as for me working with children has been something I have enjoyed, as I said everyone has a knack that you can see they are good at. As, it usually tends to shine right through, so for me I think children are like plants, flowers etc. With that right care, sunlight, motivation, guidance you will see that little small see you planted. Sprout grow, blossom into a toddler, then teenager eventually an adult. But, you will be glad that you have helped to make a good soil planting on the child. So, the exceptions of a family would be that you become part of their family not, really viewed in the end as a nanny, but more importantly another person they can be part of their "extended family". Someone who has in the end helped to instill in their child/children what is needed and required of them to help that flower develop. As with anything in life, even with the simplest of things a plant need care, and water is not really all that is required.
