About Lana

Hello! I am certified Math and Special Education Adolescent Education. I recently graduated from The College of Saint Rose with a combined Bachelors/Masters in Adolescent Math Education/ Special Education. In my current position I am a Math Special Education Consultant Teacher. In my previous position at my-college's academic help center, I worked with students on various degrees of math. Although math is my area of concentration, I am working toward a certification to teach all subjects to children in grades 7-12 grades. I am patient, kind, organized, and energetic. I am passionate about education and strive to help every student succeed. I vary my teaching style to meet the learning needs of individual students. I find that every student has the ability to do well but it is my job to help unlock that success with their unique learning preferences. I have received an award for my dedication to math education and for my time in the tutoring center at my school.
