About Kyla

I have taken care of children for most of my life. I am currently a full time 5th grade teacher in New Haven. I have also worked for nanny agencies these past couple years, including as a newborn care specialist (working with moms to help them take care of their newborns including sleep training). I have worked in an orphanage on and off for the past three years in Guatemala taking care of 13 babies under the age of 3. My duties there were changing their diapers, bathing them, feeding them, and most importantly loving on them. This experience in particular has helped me to be able to multitask as well as be able to take care of multiple children at a time. I am currently looking for a full time position starting immediately as I am not comfortable with the way our district has handled COVID safety. I have a lengthy resume and letters of recommendation to share. I love being around children, especially babies, and would enjoy a chance to get to know your family.
