The first time I started working with children with special needs I was an intern in a special needs classroom. It completely opened my eyes. I loved what I was doing and became so interested in learning more. When I went off to college at WSU I specialized in special needs taking all the special education courses I could while receiving my degree in Early Childhood Human Development. I am particularly drawn to learning as much as I can about Autism. I have attended 4 Autism Conferences and worked with children with Autism at a Head Start Program for my practicum.
