I believe that ones abilities are as unique as ones own personality. Individuality is special to everyone and should always be built upon. We are all individuals that are capable of achieving greatness in our own way. I have a combined 15 years of experience within the fields of child care/education and the mental health/social welfare field and I have worked for, with and alongside children and adults with varying special needs and disabilities. Most recently I was a supervisor for 5 homes for individuals with varying needs and abilities. My responsibilities included but were not limited to: transportation, medical appointments and support, daily living skills which could include cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, etc. as well as emotional support, maintaining behavioral and learning support plans, regular contact and interaction with families and/or guardians as well as recreational planning and vacations. I was also a teacher for children, infancy-8 years old, with Autism.
