I am passionate about working with the developmentally disabled/delayed. I have worked with adults with developmental disabilities for the past four years. I am currently working for a non-profit company through the Alta Regional Center. I am currently a Day Program Instructor and before working in the day program my position was Independent Living Services Instructor. I would like to use the experience I have gain in my current position and move on to new experiences and new learning opportunities. I have certification in CPR/First Aid/AED. I have personal life experience in this field of work because my brother was born autistic, the doctors said that he would not be able to write his name. Through physical therapy, behavior counseling, and a loving home he is now 23 years old lives independently with his wife and two kids. I know the unlimited potential children, young adults and even older adults have to live a successful life.
