I have 12 years of experience in teaching environmental education throughout the country, including 3 years as an Environmental Education Director. I have developed curriculum for ecology, geology, physics, and astronomy. I also write math lessons for textbooks for grades 2 through high school.
I believe that students learn best when they are genuinely excited and immersed in an experience. When students are intrigued by a topic their natural curiosity shows. They are equipped to make observations, think critically, and ask questions. Learning becomes fluid and organic. It is the role of the instructor to make the learning active, engaging and fun. The instructor's role is to guide the students toward the answers to their questions, rather than answering the questions for the students.
