Hello! My name is Kayla. I am an elementary, soon-to-be middle, school teacher. I have received my undergraduate degree in early childhood and childhood education, and my master's degree in special education. I have worked as a tutor for over 6 years. During this time, I have worked in small groups and one-on-one to support growth in mathematics and English Language Arts. I received my Orton-Gillingham Classroom Level Training certification in 2019 and the Dyslexia Training certification in 2022. Recently, I was awarded the Rodney A. Robinson Equity in Education Award for cultivating the highest reading gains in the school division. I enjoy teaching students and supporting them in their academic and behavioral growth.
