I recently just graduated with a bachelors in special education which has allowed me to have experience in the classroom with a wide variety of disabilities and requirements to take care of the students to meet all of their needs. Along with experience in the classroom I have been a caregiver for the 4 summers throughout college to a 8-year-old boy with autism who is also nonverbal and his older brother who is 22 and also has autism. I have loved coming up with fun activities while also working on their education/PT/OT and social skills alongside helping them to have a fun summer. Since I am moving away from home for the summer I will not have the opportunity to continue being their caregiver but know that I will always be involved in their lives because they made such a huge positive impact on mine.
