A year ago I decided to get involved in the best thing in my life so far. I started in a mentoring program with nationwide children's hospital for a group of kids on the spectrum. These kids taught me so much about myself and even led me to a future career. I plan to pursue a major in social work in hopes of some day being a behavioral counselor for kids on the spectrum. In high school, I wanted to learn everything I could about the spectrum so I did my senior project over sensory awareness. I wrote a research paper over the effects of sensory overload and then helped curate a sensory free show in my local community theatre. In the end I received a scholarship for all of my hard work. This being said, I love creating crafts and activities for kidos on and off the spectrum. I'm very organized and love all things scheduling and structure. I hope that I can be a good match for your family.
