I am a certified nurse aide with a current BLS/CPR certification. I enjoy working with patients with disabilities. My extensive medical background provides me with the technical skills needed to provide care for someone with special needs. I have 2 years of experience working as a personal care attendant for a young man with cerebral palsy. My tasks included; assisting with activities of daily living, administering food and medication through abdominal feeding tube, performing bed to wheelchair transfers, cooking and cleaning. I also planned activities to keep patient active, cleaned and organized all medical equipment and kept a daily log of all activities. I have a long standing commitment to health care and plans to apply to physician assistant programs next year. I would love the opportunity to provide one on one patient care and touch lives.
