About Katie

Hi! I'm Katie and I've been working with children as a nanny/babysitter for about 10 years now! Pre-COVID I was a supervisor for an after school program at a BVSD school, managing 45-100 kiddos from kindergarten-8th grade. I am a substitute teacher and have had a variety of longterm placements within local elementary schools. I'm Adult, Child & Baby First Aid/CPR/AED. I have experience as a lifeguard and water safety/swimming/diving instructor. I also have extensive experience working with children and teens with a variety of support needs. I am a graduate student at Johns Hopkins studying public health (virtually). During undergrad I double-majored in Psych and philosophy. I'm engaged and have 2 cats (5yo and 22yo!) plus 1 sweet rescue pup. In my free time I love to run, ski, climb, and hike. I have the IKON Pass and would be happy to take over pizza-ing down the and/or chasing behind the speedy ones! look forward to llearning how I could help support you and your family!
