I have always had a passion for working with individuals with special needs. In high school, I started an after-school activity club where students in both general and special education could spend time together and create friendships. I have been working as a caregiver and ABA therapist assistant for a child with autism for five years. I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in Psychology and plan on getting my master's degree in special education with an emphasis in ABA therapy. I plan on becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) after I receive my master's degree. I believe it is important to focus on an individual's abilities rather than their disabilities.
