I am a certified medical and nursing assistant. I have worked in home care as well as nursing home care on and off for 20 years. I have always loved my jobs. It gave me great pleasure to help people in need and bring a smile to the face of an elder who can't completely care for themselves. I also know the burden to a family member caring for a loved one could bring. I cared for an aunt who suffered from dementia as well as on a ventilator. I feel its important for those caregivers to have a break too.
