I am a Mom myself with a 21-year-old son. I miss those early years... sigh. Our home was always open and filled with the neighborhood children. Kids have always loved me because I think they know that I just really like children. Babies feel my gentleness and attentiveness, and older kids know I care how they feel and what they have to say. I have a high energy level and am capable of any other things you may need me to do. My driving record is excellent and I am available at any time. Currently I am working for 7 families at various times who I have been privileged to meet over the last couple years, and they have all certainly enriched my life. The children range from newborns to 3 years of age, so I have quite extensive experience from bottle feeding to potty training, as well as 2-year-old twins (with a newborn sister), and did I mention the dog and the cat? Ideally I would love to start with a newborn. I believe when the baby has always known a person, and vice versa, they have a much stronger bond. The little monkey I have watched for the first two years of his life, we're tight. I made this profession change in my life because the older I get the less I need, and I did it for the love of a child in my life, and the joy that brings. I never foresaw the heartbreak when that inevitably has to end. He will always be a light in my heart, and I am blessed to have had him in my life as long as I did. I did not go to college, but was a professional hairdresser for 6 years, a Real Estate Broker for 5 and then a surgical assistant for 15 years prior to moving to GA from Wisconsin. I am not currently CPR certified, but I was for 15 years as a surgical assistant and have extensive education in that field. I am currently licensed in GA as an aesthetician (skin care). I have been in Virginia Beach for three years, and have been with the same family now for 1 3/4 years. The Mom just had her second son and decided not to return to work. I am seeking a loving family who would like a long term Nanny who will love and care for their child as much as they do, and always put their needs and well-being first. I love animals of all kinds and would welcome caring for pets. All of my families I work with always come home to a clean and organized home at the end of the day, with happy and well-cared for babies.
