A wise social worker once said "it can be an epic journey to age in America. The lack of Aides is the problem and just not caring" After retiring I knew I wanted to keep busy. After working in a "nursing home" for over a year, I have found more families are trying to keep their loved ones in their homes instead of assisted living. Companionship, just someone to sit and laugh and talk too. Spending quality time, which they would not get in most facilities. My last 2 "besties", unfortunately took falls and passed. I was with Ms. M for a year. Please if the doctor says thay cannot be alone, have someone sit with them. I am responsible and like working with the families to make everyone's life easier to manage. Can't lift, but can transfer, can help potty and cook. Likes animals. I live in the Perry Hall/Nottingham area. Thank you.
