I believe every human should be valued and provided opportunity to thrive. I appreciate that parents and other primary caregivers need respite in order to maintain their health.
Throughout my life I've cared for seniors, having started as a Home Health Aide at 17 and Certified Nursing Assistant at 18. I've cared for seniors with dementia and Alzheimer's, diabetes, obesity, cancer, and other challenges, including co-morbidities. I am comfortable in private homes and independent/skilled care environments. I have a good knowledge of history and music of many eras (often helpful with those with dementia), and have a deep appreciation for others' life experiences.
I have taught sewing, baking, cooking, jewelry-making, and other life skills and crafts to children and adults. I am creative, fun, appropriately firm, and caring.
