I've been a private tutor since 2006, improving the letter grades of my math students in a matter of weeks. My secret is my experience: I worked as a camp counselor at a recreation center, volunteered to teach with the FLY program in Harlem, translated and redesigned a curriculum into French for LitWorld, guided as an Assistant Director at the International Model United Nations Association, and last but not least, I've made learning the focal point of my life.
My varied experience has taught me one important truth: everybody can learn. Everybody - we just learn differently. That's why my first session is always free, because it's where I get to know my student and see exactly how they like to learn, so I can use my experience at every level of teaching, from micro to macro, to get my students to achieve exactly what I already know they're capable of.
I graduated as Valedictorian with a GPA over 4.0 and then graduated Magna Cum Laude from NYU with 3 majors (International Relations, French, Anthropology), 1 certificate (Political Economy) and 1 minor: Creative Writing.
