I have spent the last 6 1/2 years working as the Director of the Children's Ministry at my church. During this time, I have helped a number of families in their homes, either a mother on bed rest during pregnancy, an ill child as needed, or simply when families need a night out or a week away. I have helped with my own grandson over the last four years while his mother completed nursing school and then during weekends while she worked at the hospital. I am patient, reliable, enjoy each child and especially enjoy seeing them grow; learn new things through play, reading books and going on daily outings. I am looking for a two to three year commitment with a family who expects me to participate in the social, emotional, and intellectual development of their children. I will work in areas of language development, potty training, social manners, homework, and more.

I came across Jonnye's profile while looking for sitter to watch my boys so my husband and I can have a regular date night. I know Jonnye from church, where she was responsible for Children's Ministries and the on-site morning preschool, which my older son attended while we had an au pair. Jonnye is very personable and makes everyone feel at ease. She seems to remember everyone's name. I always knew when Miss Jonnye had been in the classroom or led chapel time since my son would then pretend to be her at bedtime and would say, "I'm Miss Jonnye. Dear God (long pause).....Amen." Anyway, I see Jonnye is available for a full time nanny position. I think any family would be lucky to have her helping them.
