I am a recent college graduate with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. I am looking for a summer employment because in September I will begin teaching at an elementary in a multi-ortho/developmental room in the Tacoma School District. I have experience working with children who are on the spectrum (moderate to severe). I also student taught in a resource room setting and taught students who had learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and health impairments. In addition, I have also worked with students who have emotional and/or behavior disorders. I love working with special needs children and adults. Being a special education teacher is my true passion as I believe everyone's diverse needs are an asset to our society and some individuals need different supports than others in order to be successful in the world we all live in.
