I have worked as a special ed paraprofessional in a public school, this past year. It was a class of mostly third graders and a few fourth graders I was testing students weekly and seeing the progress they have made. Guided reading was done daily with groups. Math was a large part of the afternoon . I also have worked in a Kindergarten classroom for 2016-2017 and learned a phonics program. I would have 5 groups of students who were low and give them an extra push they needed. It was in reading and math. In 2015-2016, I was a Reading intervention teacher for students who needed help with phonics, comprehension and fluency. I would communicate with the teachers on what areas they needed help on and worked with groups of students daily for 30 minutes.
