I have experience with children who are nonverbal toddlers and children who can't walk. They get OT, PT and speech. I have experience with children who had head surgery, with missing toes with children with short attention spans, and children with ADD, ADHD, and impulsive disorder. I work with a lot of different special needs children. I keep in touch with the families. I love and miss the children a lot. I grow attached to them too fast and the children grow attached to me. I love doing what I do. My son is a special needs child. He's 15 years old now but I went through a lot with him during the years. I know what these families go through. You have to be loving, patient and able to calm them and soothe them. It's a lot to handle. I know you have to teach them a lot.
