Jill was a caregiver, under my supervision for a company in Mesa, Arizona. She worked with 2 developmentally disabled young adults in their home. She was a direct service provider, working most of the time on the early morning shift, and many times a split shift. She helped the consumers get ready for work, dispensed medications for both, fed them breakfast, made sure their lunches were prepared, drove them to work, and also transported them and attended medical meetings if necessary. She was a diligent worker, had their best interest in mind whenever she did anything. I would hire her in a minute if I had a position for her. She knows DDS, she has her certifications, has had a background check and possesses a fingerprint card. I would not hesitate to put her to work with any disabled person. She is very capable of doing paperwork involved in this industry, and communication with the guardians or parents of consumers, as well as her supervisors.
