I am currently working full-time and only available for occasional or last-minute childcare. I am an environmental educator at the WET Science Center in downtown Olympia. I have my Master's in Education in Environmental Education at Western Washington University. I grew up in Olympia and had my first job as a babysitter when I was 12 years old. Since I have watched children of all ages. I cared for a 4 and 8 years old for 5 months before leaving for Peace Corps in Panama. All of my employment has included working with youth in some capacity and include environmental educator for Youth Garden Project in Moab, UT, camp counselor for Lacey Parks and Recreation, and Big Brother Big Sister mentor. As a caregiver, I prefer to not let the children watch TV or use electronics. I focus on interacting with the children by playing games, reading books, exploring outdoors, and helping with school work. I also help with tasks around the house such as laundry, cleaning, and cooking.
