Children with special needs have always been drawn to Jewel naturally, which is what made her pursue her both her Masters and Bachelors degree in the field. Outside of being a full time teacher Jewel has worked for several ABA companies as well as an early intervention. In her current position, Jewel teaches in a self contained classroom for non -verbal children with Autism. Jewel is familiar with the picture exchange system (PECS) and AAC devices. Being new to Dallas with no current babysitting clientele, references are not yet available, however you can be the first to have an amazing babysitting experience. We hired Jewel for a kind of weird job - just needed someone to pick up our kid across town and get them home each weekday afternoon. But our child can be difficult if he doesn't like someone. That was not a problem with Jewel! She busted out the Kidz music and found topics to make conversation about (not easy with this kid). She was always joyful, honest and dependable. Absolutely would hire again without hesitation!
