Meet Jessica
Hi there, my name is Jessica and I think that I might be a perfect nanny for you! I am a Brazilian-American who speaks fluent Portuguese and English and was educated here in the US. I also speak and studied Spanish for 4 years. I truly am passionate about what I do and I believe children are the biggest joy in the world. My childcare experience ranges far beyond simply working in someone's home. I have also taught at a preschool. I was First Aid and CPR certified and have an extremely calm demeanor that allows me to multitask and handle pressure well. Although I am a nanny, I also enjoy being in a clean and organized environment. With that being said, I do not mind pitching in and helping out around the house when the kids are cared for (during naps and/or while they are playing/eating). Light laundry and cleaning are part of the job and I can guarantee that you will never come home to a dirtier place than you left it. As a matter of fact, most of my employers love the fact that I don't mind keeping the house clean and toy areas organized. As a young woman I do believe that I am very responsible, competent, motivated and reliable, I am always striving to better myself. As your family employee I will always respect your home as if it were my own. With all said, I hope to hear from you soon and hopefully we can be a good match.

I hired Jessica to be a part time nanny for my 3 year old. She assured me that she really wanted to work part-time because she enjoyed driving left during the other times. Her first day of doing a trial, alongside my amazing former nanny who was going to help my sons get to know her, she was 2 hours late. Her first week of working solo, she was late twice to get my son from school. I was working from home one of the days and she arrived to get his snack when she was already supposed to be at the school and left the fridge door open. Another time I had to get her a lift to his school because she was at the bus stop when she should have already been at his preschool. This is all in the first week! Fast forward to week 2 and I get a text message on Monday at 4 am saying she had an emergency and won't come in that morning and will call me asap. I move all my work meetings around and wait and morning becomes afternoon and then evening and I hear nothing. So I text and she says she's out of town now on emergency and will call me. I still give her the benefit of the doubt because emergencies do happen and wait. Day two also a no show and then she stops returning my calls. So I say can you please just return my house keys? And she texts to say how she's too embarrassed to call me and we will probably never hear from her again, she's not actually able to work and she's sorry. She said she would give my house keys back when she can. All this just on text message. She trained for 2 weeks with my former nanny and I let her take care of my child, let her into my home. This was a totally violating experience especially since she had a random stranger come one night after my asking to please have my keys back, to drop them in the mail-box. She never had the courtesy to call or see us in person, even though my son was asking where she was? Posted Oct 8, 2015
