Hi my name is Jen, and I have worked as an American Sign Language Interpreter in Colorado for four years before moving to Dana Point, CA in 2017. I also worked one-on-one with kids with special needs, as a camp counselor, for three summers at Imagine!, a non-profit organization. I have experience working with kids and adults who have down syndrome, are deaf, autistic, have behavioral problems and other special needs. I have two wonderful teenagers and enjoy working with many different populations. I graduated with an interpreting degree in 2013 and am fluent in ASL. Jen was paired with my daughter who has autism a few summers ago through a community program that helps kids who have autism. She really gets our kids and has boundless energy and compassion and enthusiasm, and she can sign using ASL!! We created an ASL class for families like mine who use signing as a form of communication for our kids for various reasons... She is an amazing leader, creator and just the best person you will ever find! I miss her already, you are lucky to have her in Calif!
