Hello! I am a transition special education teacher for students (ages 14-21) with developmental disabilities, currently home with my young daughters. I have worked in the field in other capacities, including county services, camp programming, therapies, respite care, and life skills/social skills development. As a teacher, my focus is helping young adults gain independence at home and in the community, acquire job skills for future employment, and communicate effectively with peers and adults. I am comfortable with all personal cares, transfers, and ADLs and I can work with individuals with complex medical needs or behavior challenges. I am a mom to a 3-year-old and 1-year-old and am only seeking positions where my children could accompany me. This would be an excellent opportunity to work on structured play skills with a young child or enhance social interactions and build independence with an adult .
