I am a compassionate, responsible and patient man who has a sincere love and sensitivity to the needs of these children. I have been working with children and adults with special needs for about two years. I was invited to a camp with my church to assist a teenage boy with autism and it helped me to discover my calling for children with special needs. By the end of the 5 days of camp, I found myself praying for him with a deep love and compassion I had never experienced. People kept telling me I was great with the children and continued in various ministries with my church and babysitting on the side. I have been working ever since caring for an elderly man with dementia and sitting for a child with special needs. When I was growing up, I was put in special needs classes because I had a learning disability and speech impediment. Looking back, I see how God was bringing me through this to love these children and understand them on their level. I love history, comic books and cooking.

We have known Jarett several months through our church's special needs program where he was volunteering. We have since hired him as a routine, weekly sitter for our 2 boys, ages 6 and 11 years old. He is always on time (if not early) and polite. More importantly, our boys really like Jarrett, which is quite an accomplishment! He seems to be very hands-on and patient with them. One of our boys has special needs, mainly behavior issues and Jarett handles him well even on the rough days. We love Jarett!
