Meet Jannell
When I first became a preschool aide at 16, I knew that this was definitely something I would do for the rest of my life. I quickly got my 90-hr certification and became a preschool teacher, but still knew there could be more out there, both in and out of schools. Nannying has allowed me a warm, empathetic way to use my years of dance training, passionate love of kids and love of new challenges to everyone's advantage.

My love of helping people and Early Childhood Education degree awarded me the opportunity to do what I love doing all day. Nannying brings my passion for playing and learning to families homes, all while challenging me creatively with crafts, creating nutritious, approachable meals with kids, creating behavior strategies, still being (lovably) firm about bedtimes and pottying.

I pride myself on being the person kids look forward to seeing day after day and week after week. I make sure to try and bring cool toys, games, activities and unique experiences to every kid I work with, which can mean anything from scouring stores for hours for the perfect Angry Birds puzzle or just trying to expand kid's interest through creative play.

Being active is incredibly important to me. Excursions to the park complete with running around and tickles are a must. Positive discipline and non-screen based ways to play are great ways to keep a kid engaged, enjoying you and wearing them out by the end of the day, without them ever realizing it!

ABA Therapy is one of the many facets of my child care experience and my passion for helping kids with special needs truly brings me joy. Training has allowed me to calmly handle twins, behaviors, rambunctious pets, crying infants, moody preteens, hours of tantrums and whatever else is thrown at me. It's also allowed me to confidently implement behavior programs, help with homework, write lesson plans, make structure fun and accessible and even be the key person in executing amazing OT programs that keep kids engaged and excited!

I look forward to bringing my experience and love for what I do to your home soon!
