I am a middle-aged clergy person married to a senior who has impairment. I have served all my adult life in public service fields: police, intelligence, chaplaincy and counseling. Currently, I oversee a 37 acre retreat center with multiple buildings and take care of all odd jobs. Early in my military career (I am in my 34th year as a US Army Reservist), during a break in service, I served as a facility maintenance person for large apartment complex. For over 13 years, I worked as a hospice chaplain and bereavement coordinator and daily interacted with patients, family members/caregivers and other members of the care team to provide holistic care for patients and their families.
