I am currently working on my MA in Speech Language Pathology at UNC ( I received my BA in the same field with a minor in Psychology in December 2016) because I have found that I have a passion for working with individuals who are differently able. My most recent and meaningful experience I have had working with this population came from the counselor position I held at Camp Krem, a camp for children and adults with developmental disabilities, this past summer 2017. I was a full time caregiver for a period of 10-12 days in the camp setting. I loved every moment of it - the amount of joy I saw and the connections I built were amazing - and would love to continue this kind of meaningful work throughout my graduate studies.
