I have been a CNA for 12 years, 10 years in general medicine and surgery/ 2 years pediatrics. I am currently in my senior year of nursing school. I have always had a passion for caring for others. I have lots of experience with special needs patient's. I worked in group homes for 6 years as my second job. I have worked with clients to encourage independence while working on ADLS, I am comfortable with re-direction techniques to prevent behaviors and also deescalating in an appropriate safe way. I have many years experience with dementia patient's. I have been a 1:1 sitter in the hospital and took care of my grandparents for many years as well as assisting in every day activities such as bathing, eating, medication admn etc. I am first aid and CPR certified
