I feel passionate about it because the work embedded within this study is enriched through my personal experiences and life journeys Remembering that everything I do serves a greater purpose helps me see the bigger picture - and watching a child make even one inch of progress makes it all worthwhile. My work has truly made me a better person personally and professionally. I've become a more outgoing advocate, and mentally and physically stronger. My job is more than a job. It allows me to be a part of something bigger than myself, and swell with pride as a person I serve, his or her family and community grow and improve.

Itzel is a lifesaver. She quickly learned all the ins and outs of taking care of my child's complex needs as well as myriad small little things needed for helping out around the house. The only reason we had to say goodbye was that she needed to be present in Mexico to take her final examination in the university or she would still be with us. She is an incredible confidant to my daughter, a natural reader of emotions and a first class human being. Itzel was adept at coming up with activities for my daughter and influential in getting my daughter to get exercise during the long lock-down. She is also covid safe. She intelligently uses home resources in meal planning, introducing us to the healthy side of Mexican cuisine. On top of it all, she is a joy to have in our home. We know that the next family lucky enough to have her will benefit similarly.
