About Ila

Starting at 12 years old, I have always had compassion for the elderly, as well as children and animals. I would bring animals from the humane society to group homes of the elderly and provide companionship as well as an animal for them to cuddle. I also had a grandma who had a stroke and I helped feed her and was around many elderly with disabilities and loved them all. As a teenager I volunteered many times to go play bingo and other activities, as well as just give them an ear to listen and a smile to warm their hearts. At age 19 I worked briefly at an assisted living facility and helped dress and bathe residents, empty urinals, clean, feed, and provide companionship. More recently I helped care for my mother in a hospice type environment, and for years until he passed away, I helped care for my grandpa. He had the beginning stages of dementia so I have experience with that as well. I have a big heart and a huge desire to give and help others.
