I have always been passionate about special needs individuals ~ ever since I was young. My first experience was with a non verbal girl in my neighborhood. I would go over to her house after school and interact with her - we watched movies together and went on bike rides. In high school I volunteered in the special needs classroom and outside of school I was involved with the special needs bowling group. Since I moved to North Carolina I have visited with another neighbor in my community. She is also non verbal but I enjoy my time with her. I have a big heart and I am a very compassionate person, especially for individuals who struggle.
