It is with zero reservations that we recommend Hiroko with the greatest possible enthusiasm. Hiroko began caring for our son, A., from the time he was about 4 months old until he just over 18 months. She tended to him as he went from a beautiful, smiley, immobile baby until he was an equally smiley, but oh so incredibly mobile toddler. Throughout it all she was confident, more than capable, and incredibly caring as she managed the wide range of issues inherent in the rapidly changing make up of a growing, energetic and curious young person discovering the world. Understanding that competence is table stakes for this kind of decision, know that she is more than qualified in that regard and is extremely adept at imparting some tips to us (as first time parents) without coming close to being critical about our choices. Hiroko has become a member of our family, and it is only because that our little one is ready for the greater social interaction of a day care that we are, reluctantly, parting ways. She is, and will remain, A.'s first best friend. She is kind, attentive and a joy to be around. She was an incredible companion for our young son, and a diligent caregiver who made sure he always had enough stimulation (through play, song and books) and outside activity to expose him to the larger world. He loves her. We love her. Whomsoever might be lucky enough to land Hiroko next, know that your child is in the best of hands and your family is about to expand by one:)
