I have tutored and babysat students with special needs. I was a three-year mentor with a program at a university in New Jersey that specialized in students with special needs. I have worked with students ages 5-25 with Down syndrome, various stages of autism spectrum disorder, Asperger's, vision impairment, Williams syndrome, hearing impairment, severe ADD and ADHD, and cerebral palsy. I have done homework and schoolwork with these children, done social involvement with them (including theater activities and field trips throughout NYC and smaller towns), and simply been a patient and loving friend. I am a college graduate and am bilingual (native English speaker and speak Spanish) and am available after 5 p.m. on Monday-Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday.
