At Washington and Lee University, I majored in Vocal Production and performed in musicals on stage. I participated in University Chorus, Chamber Singers, and a Cappella group. I studied music
history, performance, and theory. Upon graduation, I won the Choral Award, senior year of college. I have performed with various choirs.
I also studied piano for seven years, won theory awards and was the star pupil of my teacher's studio.
Students under my tutelage can expect to gain an appreciation for classic works, learn basic music theory and ear training, and understand proper keyboard or vocal technique. I believe success comes from loving music and working hard to perform well.
Elementary Spanish private and group lessons are also available. I concentrate on pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and common phrases (with a little music thrown in to make it really fun!)
