Hello, For the last 3 years I have taught at one of the most respected schools in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. I recently moved to back to Florida and hope to find a position where I can continue to care for children and help in their development. I learned a great deal at the school where I taught. With on staff therapists, I was able to have general conversations as well as ask questions when they arose. I couldn't have ask for a better experience. In the past 3 years I worked with children who had autism, cerebral palsy, learning delays, feeding tubes, special diets, and physical disabilities; I take pride in helping a child succeed no matter what challenge they might face. I am comfortable working with nurses, aids, and therapists and have basic knowledge of IEP'S. If needed, I can use basic sign language, but I am no longer fluent because it has been a while since my last class. I welcome children in my home or yours. I do have a 4-year-old son who is old beyond his years. I mention my son, because I hope to find the perfect home where he can also contribute to the learning process through conversation and play. He is well mannered and comfortable with varied abilities because he also attended the school where I taught for the last three years. He is aware and appreciative of differences between people. I am searching for a care position where he can be there as well, which is why I also open my home as a possibility. Thanks again for taking the time to read through my profile.
