I absolutely believe working with the elderly is a calling for me. I was always exceptionally close with all of my grandparents whom I miss dearly and was blessed to be able to assist in their care during the last year's of their lives. My family as a team kept them all out of the nursing home and able to stay in their own home until God called. I decided to get my STNA not long after high school and have since fell in love with my job. I've worked in a few facilities such as Elmwood and Bethesda and in home settings and am proud to be able to keep people home as long as possible in my new business. I also like having the ability to help ease the burden the families often have because of extra responsibilities of caring for an aging parent or loved one. I do free assessments and my duties often include dressing, bathing, skin care, grooming, transferring, medication reminders, doctor appointment set up and escorts, grocery store runs, church, meal planning and prep, laundry, dishes, deep clean as needed, incontinence care, strengthening exercises, bowel training, companionship and most importantly, constant caring and monitoring of clients needs and overall health. The house will look as company is on the way anytime I leave and I have great references to attest to my overall genuine love for my job! I am married with two daughters and attend church at Victory in Fremont since moving here 8 years ago. I enjoy camping and swimming, music and gardening and my faith is strong! God is good! Hope to hear from you soon!
