Like many caretakers on here, I've been babysitting since I was probably 12. What sets me apart though is my love of caring for children and young adults with special abilities. My mother is a Special Education Paraprofessional and PCA. My sister became a kindergarten teacher specializing in children with developmental disabilities. Since I was tiny, I have accompanied my mom on play dates and day trips with the most fun, joyful and bright kids. As a babysitter, I focused mostly on children with physical and mental developmental delays or difficulties. As I've grown, I've started spending a lot of time with teens and young adults with special abilities. We hangout at home, go to the mall, the movies, bowling, you name it! Once I even choreographed a flash mob for my mom's students' graduation. I am comfortable working with you and your son/daughter towards any goals you have as well. I'm also willing to learn new techniques/tasks. My CPR and First Aid certifications have expired, but I'm more than willing to renew them if necessary. Feel free to message me about any specifics as far as I'm experience with certain disabilities or tasks!
