I have been working with people of various abilities for as long as I can remember. I began with volunteer work at a horse therapy ranch when I was 11. My first experience babysitting was for the little boy next door with autism and my own classmate with Down syndrome both when I was 12. Both of which I still have a relationship with today! I continued my volunteer work all through high school and continued to work with autism specifically as a behavior therapist. I have worked with 2 babies with down syndrome and have experienced the process many of them might have to go through with a certain heart surgery. I have experience with feeding tubes, communication devices and various types of adaptive equipment. I am a quick learner and not afraid to ask question! I have a passion for respectful care giving no mater the ability or age of the person I am caring for and ensure that they are an active participant in all care activities rather than a passive recipient of care.
